Senior LAN Analyst

Evaluate and implemented a $60k tape backup solution for HUD Network Operations Center. I was the project leader of a team of two Entry Level Technicians and two Senior Level Technicians/Engineers. This backup system saved HUD from a multi-million dollar lawsuit that was pending in Congress. A Senior Level Technician or myself trained the staff. The training saved HUD over $20k in additional funds. My responsibilities included heading the design of the tape backup structure, weekly status reports of progress and the completion dates, final decisions on conflicting methods of solutions, and training.

I had been appointed to team leader and managed eight members of a team of Senior and Entry level technicians on the deployment of DHCP throughout all of HUD Headquarters and its remote offices throughout the country. This solution saved HUD over $100k in training and administration for the individual employees at the remote sites.

The Project Leader of ten team members that assisted in the implementation of the Disaster Recovery procedures at HUD when a business day power outage occurred.

Project and Team Leader of a multi-million dollar project on creating a new computer room/network infrastructure for HUD. The project consisted of removing the multiple network interface cards from the servers and setup ATM switches in the new computer room. The team I managed consisted of 8 – 10 members who designed, configured, implemented, and maintained the new computer room for HUD Headquarters. Being the team leader, I had the responsibility of briefing the executive staff on the decisions made about where equipment was to be placed, how it would be configured, documentation, and weekly status reports on the progress.

Evaluated and was appointed a team leader of four members that assisted in the design, implementation, and maintenance of new HUD office on North Capitol St. NW. The $100K plus installation consisted of the Kiosk. This was HUDs newest implementation into the existing infrastructure. This was implemented across the country for public housing tenants to access information about HUD programs, events, and resources. This responsibility also required me to do weekly status reports, meetings with vendors, and plans with department heads for information that was to be loaded to the Kiosk for access by the public housing tenants.

Evaluated, implemented, and was appointed team leader of three members that implemented the Anti-Virus scanners on all workstations and servers throughout the HUD LAN/WAN infrastructure. With this responsibility I was required to meet with the other vendors that participated in the customized desktops for all HUD workstations. I solved the problem of the Anti-Virus scanner working on the desktop of the customized workstation desktops. This saved HUD over $30k.
